Grayscope collects information necessary to operate the Platform and provide its services.

The Platform enables users to upload, create, store, review, and manage legal document-related materials within structured digital workspaces(“Casebooks”). Such content may include, without limitation: legal documents, contracts and agreements, litigation materials, research notes, case references and precedents, and internal knowledge resources (collectively, “User Content”).
All User Content is provided and controlled by the user. Grayscope does not claim ownership over such content. Grayscope does not claim any rights, title, or interest in or to any User Content or information uploaded, created, or processed on the Platform.
User Content is processed solely for the purpose of delivering and enhancing the Platform's functionalities, including document management, legal research, drafting assistance, and workflow organization.
Grayscope maintains appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect the confidentiality and integrity of User Content and does not access, use, or disclose such content except: (i) as necessary to provide the services; (ii) to comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations; or (iii) with the user’s explicit authorization.
Grayscope does not use User Content to train or improve its artificial intelligence models without the user’s explicit consent.
Users may upload legal material within structured case workspaces (Casebooks). Content uploaded or created in the Platform may include:

Users control what documents are uploaded to the Platform. User data and User Content remain logically and technically isolated within the user’s controlled environment and are not commingled with data from other users or organizations.

- Providing and managing structured case workspaces (“Casebooks”)

Grayscope does not use user-provided data to train or improve its artificial intelligence models without explicit user consent.
3. AI Processing and Legal Intelligence
Grayscope uses an internal AI reasoning engine called Athena, designed to assist lawyers with research, drafting, document analysis, and compliance review.
When users interact with the Platform:
- Documents may be analyzed by the system to generate summaries, comparisons, drafting assistance, or compliance insights.
- AI outputs are generated based on contextual document structure, references, and workspace
information.
Grayscope is designed to assist legal professionals, not replace professional judgment. Users acknowledge that they are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and relying on any AI-generated outputs, and for all work performed using the Platform.
4. Data Confidentiality and Professional Responsibility
Grayscope recognizes that legal professionals often work with confidential, privileged, or sensitive information.
To support this:
- Documents remain within the user-controlled workspace environment.
- Access to documents is governed by role-based permissions and case-level access controls.
- Collaboration occurs within controlled workspaces defined by the user or their organization.
Users remain responsible for ensuring that the information uploaded complies with their professional obligations and internal policies.
5. Data Sharing
Grayscope does not sell personal data or legal documents.
Information may be shared only under limited circumstances:
- With infrastructure providers necessary to operate the Platform (such as secure cloud hosting services)
- When required to comply with applicable laws, court orders, or regulatory obligations
